What is WMTx?

WMTx is the utility token of the World Mobile network — a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) that provides real mobile connectivity through independently owned hardware rather than a single centralized carrier.

Two jobs, one token

WMTx does two things at once:

  • It pays for services. Data, calls, and other connectivity services on the network are priced and settled in WMTx.
  • It incentivizes the network. The nodes carrying that traffic — and the people staking behind them — are rewarded in WMTx, funded by those same fees plus a network inflation schedule.

Why "real world" matters
