Getting started with WMTx

WMTx (World Mobile Token) is the utility token of the World Mobile network — a decentralized, real-world telecom network built on independently operated hardware called EarthNodes. There are five ways to earn it.

1. Use network services

Every transaction fee paid for data, calls, or messaging on the World Mobile network contributes to the pool of rewards distributed back to the people and hardware running it.

2. Stake WMTx

Bond your WMTx to the network to earn a share of ongoing rewards. See the staking guide for lock periods and reward mechanics.

3. Operate an EarthNode

EarthNodes are the physical hardware that carries network traffic in underserved regions. Owning or operating one earns rewards tied directly to the traffic it carries — see the hardware reference and the Own-a-Node page for details.

4. Offer value-added services

Digital payments and other services built on top of the network generate their own fee streams, shared back with contributors.

5. Contribute to the ecosystem fund
